The Sacred Triduum Services

Easter Vigil 2014

These are the most important services of the Church’s year, salve  the summit of our lives as Christians, the Church urges us to attend them all, having allowed God to renew us through our Lenten prayer, penance and almsgiving but most especially through the Sacrament of Penance


Holy Thursday Mass of the Lord’s Supper 8pm

There will be the traditional collection for poor from our Lenten alms and watching before the Blessed Sacrament until Midnight (which is of course optional)


Good Friday Solemn Liturgy of the Lord’s Passion 3pm

This day is a day of penance, fasting and abstinence, the collection is for the Holy Places (the Church in the Middle East)


Easter Vigil 8:30pm

This is the great renewal of the Church, the end of Lent after hearing of our salvation we renew our baptismal promises and through reception of Holy Communion are renewed by the Risen Christ.


Easter Day Mass will be

9am Traditional Latin Mass

10.30am Sung Mass

These are the most important services of the Church’s Year and all Catholics in good standing, abortion unless otherwise inhibited should attend all three, treatment they are the centre of our faith.

Holy Thursday: Mass of the Lord’s Supper 8pm – followed by procession to the Altar of Repose with watching until Midnight.

Holy Saturday: The Easter Vigil and First Mass of Easter 8.30pm

Collection for your Pastor

On Easter Day for those unable (or unwilling) to attend the Vigil there is Mass at 9am (Low Traditional Latin Mass) and 10.30m Sung Mass.
